Hello Chloe, how are you? Sorry I haven’t been able to get on here sooner and that I missed wishing you good luck for your interview. Have you heard anything from it yet? When are you expecting to hear something? Could there be other interviews, or is it just this one?

If you can work with kids, do you want to start rfom this Sep after the summer holidays?

Are you up to anything this weekend?

I hope you are well.

Take it easy.

Hi Chloe - I just went to my country pile for a couple of days to see my folks ! Ha Ha ! Poor Mum - she’s not in the best of health but she tries soo hard. I can imagine your trepidation but you shouldn’t fear too much. You will always do your best by your daughter it’s what parents do. She couldn’t wish for a better yummy mummy than you. Divorce and separation isn’t always terribly hard and upsetting for children I think. You and your husband clearly both love her to bits and always will. You seem to be getting on and dealing with the process in a civilised way. What’s worst ? Two happy parents who aren’t together who love her and spoil her rotten or two angry unhappy miserable parents who, whilst they live together, argue and fight with each other ? Surely the first scenario is infinitely preferable and beneficial for you, your husband and your little girl ?
What do I know - not having any children but that’s how I see it…
I like the sound of your homless alchohlic friend - some people in that situation are just sooo wise and intelligent. If you can look beyond the drink they are some of the best people you could want to meet. I remember chatting to an ex soldier outside Temple tube station once. He was from Middlesborough and a Gulf war veteran and he was such a nice chap - the kind of bloke I would love to take for a pint and swap stories with. It’s such a waste of people’s talent that they are just thrown on the street like that. If I was an employer I would put a homeless person top of the list of any job candidates because they have HAD to survive by whatever means and they must be so resilliant. That probably sounds horribly patronising but I would prefer them to some young kid who can barely hold an intelligent conversation or be parted from his I Pod ! We get them all the time on work experience at our place. There are on or two exceptions but most of them have no social skills, can barely talk yet when you ask them what they want to do they say “Oh I want to be a barrister !!” Absolutely no chance ! Er come back when you actually know anything about life.. One of the most sucessful Counsel I see every day is a chap from the North of England who studied law whilst working on an Oil Rig !! He is now one of the highest earners in our region but is still true to his Cumbrian roots and is blunt and gruff but I take my hat (wig) off to him.
Ooh I have rambled on for a while now ! Best get me tea. Speak later.

“As” George Michael
(feat. Mary J Blige)

As Around The Sun The Earth Know She’s Revolving
And the rosebuds know to bloom in early may
Just as hate knows love’s the cure
You can rest your mind assured that
I’ll be loving you always

As now can’t reveal the mystery of tomorrow
Hut in passing will grow older everyday
Just as ail that’s born is new
You know what i say is true
That i’ll be loving you always

Until the rainbow burns the stars out of the sky
Until the ocean covers every mountain high
Until the day that 8õ8õ8 is 4
Until the day that is the day that are no more

Did you know that true love asks for nothing
Her acceptance is the way we pay
Did you know that life has given love a guarantee
To last through forever and another day

As today i know i’m living but tomorrow
Could make me the past
But that i mustn’t fear
I know deep in my mind
The love of me i’ve left behind
Cause i’ll be loving you always.

Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky
Until the ocean covers every mountain high
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea
Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream
Until the day is night and night becomes the day
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away
Until the day that 8õ8õ8 is 4
Until the day that is the day that are no more

Did you know that true love asks for nothing?
Her acceptance is the way we pay
Did you know that life has given love a guarantee
To last through forever and another day

As around the sun the earth knows she’s revolving
And the rosebuds know to bloom in early may
For now i know deep in my mind
The love of me i’ve left behind
Cause i’ll he loving you always.

Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky
Until the ocean covers every mountain high
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea
Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream

Until the day is night and night becomes the day
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away
Until the day that 8x8x8 is 4
Until the day that is the day that are no more

George Michael A different Corner

I’d say love was a magical thing
I’d say love would keep us from pain
Had I been there, had I been there

I would promise you all of my life
But to lose you would cut like a knife
So I don’t dare, no I don’t dare

‘Cause I’ve never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
And I’m so scared, I’m so scared

Take me back in time maybe I can forget
Turn a different corner and we never would have met
Would you care

I don’t understand it, for you it’s a breeze
Little by little you’ve brought me to my knees
Don’t you care

No I’ve never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
I’m so scared of this love

And if all that there is, is this fear of being used
I should go back to being lonely and confused
If I could, I would, I swear

Hello everyone,

How are we all?

I have been quite for a while, just feel like being detached at the moment…

Jamie, the book has arrived. I am going to curl up this weekend, and start reading. How have you been?

Chloe, what’s been happening in your life? I have missed you!!! Well, tell you something here, I feel FAT at the moment, been eating too much and put on weight. Just saw myself in some recent photos, omg, I Am still in a shock to see how big I have got these days.  No way, I am going to start exercising and eating less. Would you like to be my keep healthy buddy? Are you exercising regualarly?

Brencoot, are you enjoying your weekend? How is life? Hope you and your wife are well.

Paul, I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling low. Please don’t give up, and you know that people like us care. We are here for you.

Thinking of you all and wishing you well.

Hello Hope - so good to hear from you again. Am really pleased you got the book - prepare to do nothing else this weekend because it’s unputdownable !! I really think you will get a lot out of it. I am well thank you. Have come a long way and I feel much much more like the old me (not sure that’s a good thing !). Funnily enough I have to go to the doctors this afternoon and have my meds reviewed. Should be able to lower the dose now although in truth I am not on much anyway. I know that there’s absolutely no point me as a bloke teling you not to worry about your weight so I will just say that I think exercise is a good thing mentally as well as physically.

Anyway take care - enjoy the book and let me know what you think of it.

Hi Chloe - so sorry you didn’t get the job but it may turn out to be a stepping stone to something else and as you say good interviewing practice. You have plenty to keep you busy with the summer club by the sound of it. I feel very old today - my back has been aching for days now. I think I know what you mean about love in your posting. If she wanted to she could always ring me but never does. She might miss me a bit - who knows. I get very tired of trying to work it all out and justify reallity if you know what I mean. Why do women never say what they mean or are thinking ?? A riddle wrapped in an enigma Ha Ha !
Jxx

Brencoot - Hi. Hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend. Should be warmish and dry so that’s not so bad. You can get out on your bike. We are having some bike sheds put up where I live so I might be tempted to get one. Will have to get all the gear though ( I love watching the Giro D’italia and Tour de France ). Problem is by the time they are built it will be Autumn and wet and windy and I will think - Nah ! I will go in the car !!

Hello Chloe, how are you? I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get the job, but like you said, your fate must lie elsewhere. Have you got any more interviews lined up? Are you thinking about looking into other things?

Can you believe it’s almost Aug already? I’m absolutely amazed at how fast this year (my life for that matter!) is going. We really need to make the most of it, don’t we? We really need to be reminded of this on a daily basis too, cos we forgotten so quickly how short life can be and that we need to make the most of it while we are here.

Well, have a nice weekend? Any plans?

Paul, are you OK? Has something in particular brought on this most recent down turn? I hope you can pull yourself out of it very soon.
