I am the mother of a young man who suffers from depression but has greatly improved over the years that he has been ill and I believe he has gained the most benefit from the Human Givens approach.  The web site address is www.hgi.org.uk.  Here you will be able to learn about their methods - the main one being trying to get people off antidepressants.  There is also a list of trained therapists in the UK - generally they charge about £50 per hour.  They aim to be able to help you in about four sessions.  If you can afford it I would say it is definitely worth looking into.  My heart goes out to you all - I’ve seen it all - the desperation, loneliness, lack of confidence.  I know everyone’s case is not the same but I wish you all well - keep trying - you will improve.

Sounds like it’s worth a look.

It’s outrageous that it is not fully nhs funded - especially when we spend thousands of pounds every weekend patching up people who have had a few drinks too many!

Great that you have a happy ending and give hope to others - thank you.

Encouragement is everything.  If someone has recovered it’s so helpful…. Just one step…  Snoopy xxx
